Celebrate 'la dolce vita' at Il Papiro with events designed to inspire your passion for the Italian way of life through art, literature, food and wine.
To enrich our offering, we have created two special occasions with women who are dedicated to sharing their knowledge and ode to Italy with engaging experiences.

MARBLE WITH MARIA PASQUALE

Based in the Eternal City of Rome, award winning Italian-Australian food and travel writer Maria Pasquale has written her second book, 'How to be Italian'.
In celebration of her new release, we invite you to join her as we transform you into a 16th Century Artisan and learn the techniques of Marbling paper - the Florentine way.

A workshop dedicated to creating your own sheets of hand marbled papers by exploring various colours, patterns and combing techniques. A Prosecco will greet you upon arrival as we commence with a demonstration guiding you through the centuries old technique of Italian hand marbled paper. Along with your original marbled papers, you will also take home a signed copy of "How to be Italian" and have the opportunity to chat to Maria Pasquale about all things Italy.

ARTISANS OF WINE x ARTISANS OF PAPER

Mix that Italian playlist and embark on a road trip to Vinea Marson, Victoria's answer to the vineyards of Friuli, North-eastern Italy. Fourth generation wine artisan Madeleine Marson will greet you at her family vineyard in Heathcote. In true Italian hospitality, Madeleine will be offering wine tastings of indigenous Italian varietals complimented with traditional antipasti including That's Amore Cheese.
While you savour the flavours, we commence with demonstrating the 16th century Florentine craftsmanship of hand marbled papers. With our guidance, you will have the opportunity to explore the various colours, patterns and combing techniques by creating your own masterpieces to take home.
